James E. Mies, Jr., CPA, Managing Director

Mr. Mies joined Mid-States as a Managing Director after spending 26 years as a financial and managerial consultant in Southeast Michigan. Mr. Mies brings to Mid-States over 40 years experience as a CPA, acting top level management and an excellent reputation for solving difficult problems.
At Mid-States Mr. Mies provides CFO related services to companies who are in transition, need a CFO but do not yet require daily management, and helps generate the financial information a lender, buyer or seller needs to evaluate a transaction. He also assists in the placement of debt, with deep relationships in the lender community developed over years of experience. Mr. Mies has extensive experience working in the contracting and trucking industries, working on behalf of many companies when negotiating with lenders and vendors alike.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
